After an extended time of touch deprivation when we couldn’t even offer a soothing hand to comfort someone, let alone give and receive hugs from our nearest and dearest, touch therapy has never been more vital.

Touch releases oxytocin which counteracts all the stress hormones. So on top of the obvious stresses of the pandemic, the lack of touch in itself will have raised levels of stress hormones. Reflexology and head massage have been shown to reduce anxiety levels by activating the parasympathetic nervous system to moderate, calm and relax the stress response. There is also a wealth of evidence that demonstrates the following benefits from touch therapy:

Reflexology & Head Massage

Relax in the comfort of my (Covid secure) treatment studio attached to my home in Nottingham, where I offer one-hour reflexology and head massage sessions. Wellbeing in the Workplace

Many workplaces are recognising the importance (and the benefits) of providing their teams with services that support both their mental and physical wellbeing. I offer half or full-day one-to-one reflexology and head massages in the workplace. To reach a wider audience, I offer both virtual and in-person wellbeing sessions that include mindfulness, yoga, relaxation and self-care techniques.

Top-to-Toe Touch Therapy Training

Exclusively for the NHS, healthcare settings, schools and care homes, this beautiful training has been devised for participants to learn a basic head, hand and foot massage routine to use in the workplace to benefit those in their care. During the training, enjoy a day of pampering as you practise the learned techniques on each other.
